Another Atalanta player, Another future pretty man?
By: Marco | December 1st, 2008
Since moving to Atalanta in 2007, Floccari has been an important part of the Nerazzurri success, but recent reports suggest that he could be set for a move away from the club, with the destination likely to be Sicily.
Palermo have been linked with a move for the Atalanta striker since the summer, as they want to bolster their attack, adding another talent to the front two of Fabrizio Miccoli and Edinson Cavani. It has been rumored that the Sicilian club wish to attain his services as early as January.
His goals have been fundamental to the growth of Atalanta, and their success in the Italian top flight. He contributed yet another goal in yesterday’s Serie A win over Lazio.
Atalanta beat Roman giants Lazio by two goals to nil yesterday afternoon in Bergamo. Goals from Jaime Valdés and Floccari were enough to take all three points from the encounter with the Biancocelesti.
In a recent interview with Controcampo the striker revealed that even though he is currently in Bergamo with Atalanta, his future may lie in Sicily with Palermo.
After this revelation from the player himself, it is unlikely that the Calabria native will remain in the Nerazzurri line up much longer
________
Carrot man has been doing better since leaving us and I personally would love to see Cavani - Miccoli - Floccari up front. Only problem though is who would fill the void?

Yeah, there was some really heavy links to Palermo during the last mercato. I know his name has been brought up again within the past 2 days, but for some reason, I don’t think it’ll happen - unless our other targets fall through last minute (again).

Good win yesterday. I foresee Atalanta getting a UEFA spot, you guys play very compact. Very hard to score on, and I think your defense is very underrated and strong.

Marco, we’ll give you the extremely talented Davide Succi as a loan.

Succi isn’t very talented. Maybe Fredrico Inglese, Luca Di Matteo and Bosko Jankovic (well if you can get him back from Genoa..he is on a co-ownership isn’t he?)for Floccari. I would love to have Guana…maybe just him and Jankovic for Mr. Floccari

Really? Guana? Bobby G couldn’t wipe the goose shit off of De Ascentis’ boots. Have you seen him play in the last year and a half? He’s the number 1 reason teams start counter attacks on us.

Marco, pretty sure Bosko is on a loan deal with a buy out clause at the end of this year. Basically, the deal went through last minute and I don’t think there was enough time for him to be sold outright, so they just loaned him.

lol “we’ll give you the extremely talented Davide Succi as a loan”
I’m pretty sure I could’ve had a better touch on that ball that Succi had yesterday.
But Marco, do you seriously want GUANA?! That’s gotta be some kind of joke.

You obviously didn’t sense my sarcasm

Hahah, just checking. The guy over on the Lazio blog thought Guana would be a great pickup for them. I thought maybe ppl were drinking the homemade Bobby Goblin Kool-Aid. Honestly, there’s not a worse player in Serie A.

Well, not a worse player in Serie A minus half of Torino’s squad.
