La Dea – Old Lady Preview

Looks like our winning streak might end against Juventus who have had their problems with smaller sides in the past (sounds like Milan). Palermo killed them off twice in the past two seasons while only losing that one game that ended like 7-1. Then again we were having gaffer problems (with Zamparini as president? NEVER) and crap happened. Atalanta has had some great results this season and has been in fine form. Drawing Genoa at home was a good result considering they are unbeatable at home and beating Lazio & Napoli was good. Even though we don’t have to worry about being relegated we should still aim for a UEFA Cup spot at the most even though frankly we don’t have the squad to do anything realistically.
Nedved has been ruled out of the clash which certainly doesn’t hurt but we have our own problems. D’Agostino, Cerci and Cigarini are all injured and will probably be for a while. Bellini and Rivalta are suspended for being dirty boys so we should lineup in a 4-4-1 and play off the counter:
Coppola, Garics, Talamonti, Manfredini, Capelli, Ferriera Pinto, Padoin, Guarente, Valdes, Doni, Floccari
We probably won’t bend over for Juventus but if we fight we should be able to get a draw. Thank god they don’t have Buffon for the moment and they have an impressive injury list which should help us. But the main show will be between Amauri and Floccari. Both forwards have been on fire lately and the fireworks should continue. If we neutralize Del Piero and prevent him from diving, shut down Amauri and try to aggravate Sissoko into getting a red card we might be able to draw or upset.
