Hey guys. As you probably know, I’m the Julian who runs the Italy WorldCupBlog (click my name for a link), and I was hoping to get some help from you guys for an upcoming series of posts. I’m asking each writer for a serie A club to email me, if you’d like to, and name 2 or 3 players who you believe should get called up to the Azzurri. I only watched Atalanta once or twice over the course of the season but that isn’t important.

Call me crazy, but how can you write a blog about a team when you dont watch the games?

I just wanted to stop by to offer my congratulations for a fine campaign and welcome you back.

With complete respect I think when you have a chance to watch the matches you will find that you have a lot to be proud of. To finish mid-table with their budget is extraordinary and if hadn’t been for the difficult finish, you would have threatened for a European spot.

Yeah not getting relegated is always great. I am very pleased with some of our results and considering we don’t have that much money our finish was very impressive. Let’s hope some Saudi comes along and buys Atalanta

Yeah Atalanta are fucking awesome man, especially when you look at the money and squad that you have. And seeing you boys give Sfinter a molesting was (unfortunatley) one of the few highlights for me as a Milanista. Thanks anyway though. Yeah its been a slow start but then again its a long season. If they play the way they played today we will do great. Overall I expect us to finish at least 13th but I have my hopes

Yeah the Bergamaschi definitely wont get relegated this campionato, good thing too because you lot have the potential to become a big side fighting for Europe, especially if you can replicate your home form in away matches
