NHL musings, weather and the FIFA Club World Cup
By: Marco | December 19th, 2008
My Sharks are finally doing something. Sure we lost in OT against the Blue Jackets and got our asses kicked by Detroit (the only team I would ever want to beat SJ) that is what happens when you play two games in a row. We are still dominating our conference and division and the league for that matter and we broke the record for most points in 30 games or something like that. Even if we don’t win the elusive cup at least were better than we were last year and we were great last year. We have a young squad with a solid mix of veterans, good depth, and an explosive amount of firepower. Whether its Big Joe or Mikey Grier or Goc for that matter we have it all. I have waited 5 years for them to do something and I am glad they are doing it. Owen Nolan…..where did you go? Teemu Selänne where did you go….well at least you went on to bigger and better things.
I have one month off from school and this is what happens…constant rain. For the past week it has been rain with some rain and a side of rain topped with rain. We don’t have to worry about forest fires or a drought….now we have to worry about flooding and the like. I have played god knows how many hours of FM and managed to have a binge session of 14 hours straight. Well the weather is looking up and it should be nice out for the next week or so.

Pachuca managed to come back against Al-Ahly after a 2-0 deficit at halftime but when they went 2-0 down against LD Quito well….they couldn’t repeat. Quito played a great game and I was impressed by them. The small Ecuadorian team that could did in the Copa Libertadores against superior sides and stomped Pachuca in the CWB. Imagine if they could beat United? well probably wouldn’t happen but at least they have nothing to lose. They have some good prospects in Bolanos and company who could do it in Europe.

My Red Wings kicked your ass so bad that it was good. I loved every minute of it, see you in the play offs.
