Real men wear tights and go really fast down mountains

There is no news today for Atalanta in the world of Calcio but THE SERIE A IS ONLY LIKE 9 DAYS AWAY OMFG. Ok I got that out early. Lets talk about cycling. I know the first thing you think is steroids but Ricardo Ricco was an idiot. As you may know I dislocated my patella and with this expert medical diagram supplied by none other than Dr. Perry Cox (legend) you can understand what it felt like.

I remember going up to trap an airball onto the ground and when I landed my knee gave way and bam I looked down and I had two kneecaps on my left knee which looked pretty awesome until the extreme pain came in. I laid on the field for about 20 minutes (keep in mind it had rained the night before) and when I got onto the ambulance they couldn’t use morphine beacuse my veins had retracted. Basically that was the worst injury I have ever had. Ive broken both my wrists twice each, shattered my foot when a pack of soda cans fell onto it, broken my collarbone playing hockey and some nice cuts from some dickhead who high sticked me. Needless to say I have had my fair share of pain in 18 years. When I was laying in the hospital bed my grandfather removed my boots and my knee popped back in place and damn it felt good. But I was in bed for about a week and on crutched for about a month or two. My armpits have never hurt that much before in my life, it was like torture.

But I decided to give up on playing here beacuse when I moved I went from a budding football system to a dead / failed one up north and the coaches here are stupid beyond all belief. My dad races basically every weekend all year long down in Melbourne, Florida so he gave me a sexy 07 Trek 1500 for free ( I will get some pics eventually) and I have been riding for the past couple of months. Today I went on my usual 10 mile training ride but since I was feeling great I went for another 11 and I feel pretty damn good.

Watching the Tour de France I was impressed with Liquigas’s Kreuziger & Nibali but disappointed with my boy Pippo Pozzato and since he is leaving at the end of the season and Ivan Basso is coming in (oh joy) im sure they can do better in the Giro, ect. Hopefully the next couple of days fly by beacuse the opening weekend is Serie A weekend for my family. Getting married and want us to come? Sorry we have business. Doctors appointment? reschedule. Blackwater gets hired by a Iranian arms dealer to fight his own wars? well that might be interesting but still its business time. Time to fix some dinner and relax. Ciao
