Season review
By: Marco | June 1st, 2009
I am back after a two or three month hiatus (or seems like it). Anyways it’s the end of the Serie A. My TIVO and numerous DVR’s are full of games that I have recorded so I have catching up to do. I did watch Paolo’s last game and I cried at the end like any Milanista but with Enchilada leaving and the possiblity of no Seedorf and Favalli makes it all so much better. Plus Leonardo is Brazilian. Ka-Pa-Ro anyone?
As for Atalanta the season had its ups and downs. We stomped Inter and beat some of the big boys while flopping against donkey’s and other smaller teams so its another mid-table season. Del Neri is out and I have no idea about any of the candidates. Let’s just hope its not Zenga. Cigarini is going to Napoli which is the stupidest move that I have seen but then again let’s hope that we made some serious euros off the chigger man. Maybe Inter or Man City want to buy Bobo Vieri from us?
I only watched Atalanta once or twice over the course of the season but that isn’t important. I was impressed with some of our results especially considering the lackluster squad that we possess. Now for my favorite time of the year. The transfer market. I will come up with a huge list on potential transfer targets and my hopes and dreams that will be eventually crushed.

Call me crazy, but how can you write a blog about a team when you dont watch the games?

I have managed to do it so far so I don’t see the problem. If I wanted to I could just pay for that Serie A.tv thing or torrent them. Do you want me to in depth into my blog?

You can do it any way you want – it is yours. It just struck me as such a funny thing to say that I had to comment.
Oh, and Bobo rescinded his contract with Atalanta – there is nothing left to sell.

I just wanted to stop by to offer my congratulations for a fine campaign and welcome you back.
With complete respect I think when you have a chance to watch the matches you will find that you have a lot to be proud of. To finish mid-table with their budget is extraordinary and if hadn’t been for the difficult finish, you would have threatened for a European spot.

Yeah not getting relegated is always great. I am very pleased with some of our results and considering we don’t have that much money our finish was very impressive. Let’s hope some Saudi comes along and buys Atalanta

i honestly and eagerly await your articles on this blog. Your team is truly great given the budget and players and wins this season.especially against inter.this blog need not be in depth,it already has more unbiased material here when compared to the drivel on certain other blogs. DONI is underrated and inspirational.

Yeah Atalanta are fucking awesome man, especially when you look at the money and squad that you have. And seeing you boys give Sfinter a molesting was (unfortunatley) one of the few highlights for me as a Milanista. Thanks anyway though. Marco, run the blog however you want man, who gives a fuck what that Sfinterista thinks
