The Serie A is like the stock market. Random without the economic doom part.
By: Marco | October 5th, 2008Or at least this year it is…just look at the table and the performances. Roma and Juve are in crisis mode while Lazio and Napoli are riding high. Last years breakthrough team Fiorentina are also doing terribly (well maybe not that bad) and could be doing worse if it wasn’t for former Milan flop Gila (I wouldn’t consider him a flop judging by Prandelli’s ability to rejuvenate careers). I have been extremely busy lately and I haven’t gotten the chance to blog it up on the offsides. I am back though
Atalanta were tossed aside by Roma a week ago but managed to win the shootout against Sampadoria with a 4-2 victory…what a game eh? I didn’t get the chance to see the game but this week the highlights should be on. We are currently sitting in 5th….yes 5th place tied with the pretty men in pink which I think is the highest this club has been in a long time no? Nice job Del Neri!. Even though we did make some good signings over the summer and we finally have a full squad instead of loaned players I don’t expect us to maintain this. Maybe just maybe if Roma (hopefully not because I love Rosella Sensi and I hate to see her angry) and Juve keep bombing down we might sneak in a gap and finish higher than 9-12th. But realistically we just want to do as good if not better than last season.
Actually to be completely honest we shouldn’t worry about the table and just play our game. Get three points when we can get three, one when we can get one and hopefully as few losses as possible. If Doni, Cigarini, Floccari and crew stay healthy we should be fine. I hope that Coppola and Consigli stop making stupid mistakes and by the grace of god they may actually turn out to be decent keepers…all we can do is hope.
