Marco

My name is Marco deLuca and I am from Palermo, Sicily. I lived for a couple of years in Torre Mongerbino but eventually moved with my parents to Jacksonville, FL. My family is full of Milanista’s and Palermo tifosi but I have a soft spot for Atalanta and calcio has always been a huge part of my life. Several injuries ended my career a year ago so my dream of playing the beautiful game is over but I can still watch the Serie A!. Since I love working out and my knee couldn’t take any stress after a severe dislocation of my patilla (kneecap) I took up cycling after advice from my father who races local events, criteriums and centuries.

Between riding my bike, college, writing novels and watching the Serie A there is the offsides blog so I am very happy to get the chance to write. I started reading the blogs a year ago and I find that reading the posts of the people here is much more interesting than the ever reliant Goal.com [sarcasm][/sarcasm], La Gazzetta, Corriere and the other news sources.
